DescriptionThis is a Worcester large spherical teapot (A) and cover (B) boldly painted in iron-red, yellow, rose, blue, green, brown, and black on either side with a Chinese lady standing at the door of a house watching a man holding a posy and a boy plucking branches within an iron-red edged panel reserved on a gilt scrollwork ground further reserved with iron-red and black floral panels and rose floral roundels. The cover has garden fence vignettes reserved on a similar gilt scrollwork ground interrupted by the iron-red and green floral sprig knop. The spout has been repaired and chipped.
